From the West Coast, this six piece one-of-a-kind band will forever
rearrange your understanding of the accordion! With a sense of humor
that won't quit,
Those Darn Accordions pumps out a variety of musical
genres -- from original quirky songs to rock and funk to polka and
even swing -- and torches timeless classic rock tunes along the way.
Fronted by lead singer/squeezebox wizard Paul Rogers and bellows-pumping babes Carri Abrahms, Susie Davis and Suzanne Garramone, the group is anchored by drummer Bill Schwartz and bass player Lewis Wallace, who provide a firm foundation upon which the manic TDA accordionists can layer huge slabs of sonic mayhem. Among their many performance credits, TDA has appeared at Milwaukee's Summerfest; on ABC's Good Morning America, American Music Awards and World News Now; and have provided music for The Drew Carey Show and the Jerry Lewis MD Telethon. The group has also released a number of cds. Be sure to visit TDA's website at www.ThoseDarnAccordions.com. TDA's appearance in Monroe is part of Turner Hall's 2006 Swiss Heritage Series. More information on the Swiss Heritage Series is available here.
