Formed in 2003, the New World Swiss
Club evolved from the dissolution of its immediate predecessor, the original
Swiss Club, and provides a way for people who previously had no organizational
opportunity to support Turner Hall or Swiss Heritage to do so.
The New world Swiss Club ISN'T:
- a "club" in the traditional sense.
- only for Swiss or Swiss descendants.
- only for local residents.
The New World Swiss Club IS:
- a way for ANYONE who previously had no organizational opportunity to support Turner
Hall or Swiss heritage to do so.
- an association for the preservation of perpetuation of our rich Swiss cultural heritage
into the 21st century.
An annual membership includes:
- voting rights at meetings of Turner Hall's membership.
- invitations to monthly social Dutch-treat dinners in the Ratskeller, called
En Guete Evenings.
- periodic mailing and updates on Turner Hall events and other Swiss-related activities
- "members-only" discounts on Grand Hall and other room rentals.
- the great feeling that you are part of preserving a historical landmark and what it
stands for!
The popular En Guete Evenings are held the first Tuesday evening of each month
in Turner Hall's Ratskeller Restaurant. Meet new friends, enjoy outstanding
Swiss cuisine, and share in the Gemütlichkeit! And there's always an accordion player or two
on hand to add to the Old World ambiance.
Annual memberships are $25 for individuals or $50 for families (including children under
the age of 18.)
